Hey West Virginia, Vote for Cain tomorrow! Here’s why it matters.

AUSTIN, Tx. — My work with cybersecurity subject matter expert and FBI contractor Dennis “Nate” Cain, known as the Uranium One Whistleblower, was a bombshell expose of how intelligence agencies were spying on congressional intelligence oversight. I sourced several personal contacts to break the story last year, but none of the pitched news outlets were responsive, ranging from editors in major news corporations to independent political commentators and a columnist for George magazine. Cain is now running for the U.S. House of Representatives in West Virginia’s 2nd congressional district on a platform to address the highest levels of corruption that have profoundly impacted West Virginians. Cain’s proven track record and unwavering faith in God promise transformational leadership to hold bad actors accountable and heal the collective moral wounds of societal breakdown. Cain’s leadership perspective inspires the many others who share his David v. Goliath dedication to truth and transparency “so they can be challenged to exceed themselves and take on leadership roles in their own right” (Mumby & Kuhn, 2018, p. 289).

His first upcoming Goliath and primary opponent, Riley Moore, hails from a political family dynasty and has perfected the conventional “THWaMP (tall, handsome, white alpha-males of privilege)” facade as a mere symbolic leader who must co-opt his follower’s autonomy and redefine their reality (Mumby & Kuhn, 2018, p. 288). Hiding behind Moore’s poised smile are thinly veiled hypocrisies and a deep entanglement with lobbying campaigns that reach across the Atlantic Ocean to set the stage for the deadly and costly Russian Invasion of Ukraine. In securing his new status as state treasurer against incumbent John Perdue and booing his political affiliation with Democrats (Scherer, 2022), Moore must have misremembered his own tenure as Vice President for John Podesta’s lobbying firm. Special Counsel Robert Mueller implicated the Podesta Group, Inc. and Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort over potential Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) violations (Fogle, 2017). While Moore may enjoy media appearances as a Republican purist, his close colleague Podesta became well-known for his phished emails on WikiLeaks as the chairman of Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign.

OpenSecrets (n.d.) lists Moore and The Podesta Group on this high-stakes, legally questionable lobbying project solicited by Manafort for the European Centre for a Modern Ukraine, allegedly under the direction of pro-Russian Ukrainian president Yanukovich. The goal was to polish his entrance into the European Union by lobbying Congress to stay quiet on the jailing of his political rival, Yulia Tymoshenko (Meyer, 2018), but their scheme ultimately failed. Yanukovich took a Russian offer, and the Obama administration named his replacement and aligned with the far-right Svoboda party that ousted him (Carpenter, 2017). These events sparked the decade-long Russo-Ukrainian War, which has devolved into the modern-day Invasion of Ukraine, with Putin explicitly citing his motivation as the denazification of Ukraine due to far-right extremism terrorizing people of Russian heritage.

Why Moore’s firm played haphazardly with the nuclear power balance defies moral explanation and has brought condemnation from both sides of the aisle looking for answers. Had Moore merely looked the part instead of joining symbolic forces with leaders obsessed with cannibalistic art turned real-life atrocity, he may have had a platform. However, just one viral news story by people brave enough to share will quickly eclipse Moore’s appointment as the establishment darling. Cain is the only sensible option in a race with potentially catastrophic consequences in West Virginia, America, and the World.

As proof of Cain’s ability to inspire, I soon adopted his transformative leadership style by acting as a whistleblower in the journalism industry and filing a formal charge against Associated Press lackey Paxton Media Group for systemic civil rights violations. This brand of leadership will spread hope and courage to populations worldwide subject to corrupt conditions at all levels of society. Cain’s form of higher-order leadership will unshackle the despotism that binds us by turning the tide to accountability — the only sustainable way forward.
